Southern Alberta Light Horse

The South Alberta Light Horse (SALH), is an armoured reconnaissance unit of the Canadian Forces Army Reserve based in Medicine Hat and Edmonton, Alberta. The SALH is part of 41 Brigade Group. SALH traces its beginnings to the Northwest Rebellion in 1885 and has served in both the First and Second World Wars and in Afghanistan.

Motto, Semper Alacer, is Latin for "Always brisk".
