Kings Own Calgary Regiment

The Kings Own Calgary Regiment (KOCR) traces its early history to 1910 and the 50th Battalion which it perpetuates. In 1941 they were mobilized as the 14th Tank Battalion, The Calgary Tanks. They took part in the Dieppe Raid, and then regrouped to serve in the Invasion of Sicily in June 1943 and the Italian Campaign of 1943-44.

They returned to Europe in early 1945 to participate in the Liberation of Holland. They have also served on numerous United Nations Peacekeeping missions including Bosnia, Croatia, Cyprus, the Golan Heights and Afghanistan.

Motto, "Onward".
