WO Christopher Thombs was born in Alliston, Ontario. He enrolled in the Canadian Armed Forces in 1988, first as a reservist, then with the Regular Force (Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry). He deployed to Somalia in 1992-93 with the Canadian Airborne Regiment. He subsequently deployed to Afghanistan with Third Battalion, PPCLI. He transferred to the Primary Reserve and serves with 6 Intelligence Company in Edmonton.
