MWO Scott Schall was born in Medicine Hat, Alberta. He enrolled in the Canadian Armed Forces in 1988. As a Regular Force member of Lord Strathcona’s Horse (Royal Canadians) he deployed to Bosnia (2002) and Afghanistan (2007). He subsequently transferred to the Army Reserve, joining the South Alberta Light Horse in his hometown of Medicine Hat.
