MWO (Ret’d) Rick Ostashower enrolled in the Canadian Armed Forces in 1974. He served as a signaller in the Regular Force until 1989. In 1993 he transferred from the Supplementary Reserve to the Primary Reserve, serving until 2006. He returned to the Army Reserve for a third and final stint of active service 2009-2015. During his service he has been attached to Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry, as well as the Calgary Highlanders. He deployed as a reservist to Bosnia and Afghanistan.
