Sgt Jonathan Lodge was born in Winnipeg. He enrolled in the Canadian Armed Forces in 1998, joining the Canadian Grenadier Guards in Montreal. He deployed to Camp Mirage (Dubai, United Arab Emirates) in 2004. In 2010 he participated in Operation PODIUM (the Winter Olympics in Vancouver). He currently serves with 20th Independent Field Battery (RCA) in Lethbridge.
