Facility Rental at TMM

With several different spaces available to rent, The Military Museums is an ideal location for a wide variety of events including receptions, award ceremonies, board meetings, breakfast meetings, panel discussions, annual general meetings and more.

Filming at TMM

Filming Requests

The Military Museums considers commercial filming and photography requests on a case-by-case basis. As a steward of nationally significant artifacts and active exhibition spaces, the Museum must prioritize the protection of its collections and minimize impact on operations. As such, filming requests are not generally approved and will only be supported when they clearly align with the interests and values of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF).

All filming requests are subject to a formal review and approval process involving multiple levels of authorization. Applicants should allow a minimum of 6–8 weeks for requests to be assessed and processed. Submission of a request does not guarantee approval.

To be considered, filming proposals must:

  • Demonstrate a clear public, educational, or institutional benefit
  • Align with CAF messaging and accurately portray the Canadian Armed Forces
  • Require minimal disruption to museum operations
  • Pose no risk to artifacts, galleries, staff, or visitors

Requests that are primarily commercial, use exhibits as a generic backdrop, or require extensive access, movement of artifacts, or operational impact will generally not be approved.

Approved projects may be subject to additional requirements, including:

  • Intellectual Property and copyright permissions, which must be obtained through the appropriate Government of Canada channels
  • Location and licensing agreements, where applicable
  • Provision of Services agreements if CAF resources are required in support of the production

The Military Museums reserves the right to decline any request that does not meet institutional, operational, or collection-care standards.
