The Atrium

Interior of a memorial atrium featuring a large mosaic mural of three soldiers in uniform, with Canadian flags on each side and a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II above.

The main entrance at The Military Museums in Calgary, Alberta begins in the Atrium which is home to all the Regimental galleries within the Museum. Lining both sides of the ceiling overhead are two rows of 24 glass windows, each one emblazoned with a unique historical crest.

These crests are representative of the affiliated regiments and units associated with The Military Museums, and are reproduced here along with a brief description. They are grouped by their location on either the East or West side of the Atrium, and are numbered beginning on the side closest to the Mural of Honour.
