Royal Canadian Engineers

The Royal Canadian Engineers were founded in Canada in 1903, and served in both the First and Second World Wars, the Korean War and Afghanistan. In 1973 they were officially named as the Canadian Military Engineers.

Motto, "Honi soit qui mal y pense", a French phrase meaning "Shamed be he who thinks evil of it". It is also the motto of the English chivalric Order of the Garter, and is often re-interpreted as, "Evil be to him who evil thinks"..
