LCol Chris Hunt was born in Enderby, BC. He graduated from Royal Military College in Kingston to become a troop leader with Lord Strathcona’s Horse (Royal Canadians). He deployed to Kosovo as a Strathcona in 1999 and to Afghanistan in 2006. He transferred to the Primary Reserve in 2007, joining the South Alberta Light Horse and later the King’s Own Calgary Regiment. He commanded the KOCR 2016-2019. In June 2019 he assumed the appointment of Deputy Commander of 41 Canadian Brigade Group.
