Remembrance Day

On Nov. 11 each year, Canadians stand in collective Remembrance of all who have fallen in the military service of their country. This Remembrance Day, join The Military Museums for our annual ceremony including a moment of silence, Last Post, Revielle and remarks from special guests.

• Gates open: 9:00 am
• Ceremony Begins: 10:45 am
• Moment of Silence: 11:00 am
• Ceremony Concludes: 11:45 am

The Military Museums will open to the public following the ceremony, with admission by donation.

Members of the public wishing to lay a wreath may do so at the museum's eternal flame following the ceremony.

Mural of Honour Connection

The Military Museums’ Mural of Honour features many panels that resonate with Canadians and provide opportunities for individuals to reflect on and commemorate their own connections to military service and sacrifice. One particular panel, number 09, is simply titled "Remembrance". It reminds us how important it is to remember the atrocities in our history so that we can prevent them from happening again. Canadians share the experience of remembrance in many different ways, through music, poetry, ceremonies, private reflection, discussion and art - and most importantly, through recorded memories from those who were there.
