International Women's Day

In recognition of 2026 International Women's Day, HMCS Tecumseh in conjunction with The Military Museums and Calgary Salutes is hosting a celebration of Women in the Canadian Armed Forces. The event is being held at The Military Museums on Saturday March 7 from 11:00 am to 2:00pm . The focus is on youth. Admission to the Museum that day is free for anyone under 18. There will be a short "Opening Ceremony" at 11:00 am and then throughout the day there will be a variety of different programming events including special guided tours of The Military Museums, a children's scavenger hunt and a series of presentations in the Queen Elizabeth II Atrium by women sharing their experience in the Canadian Armed Forces and their deployments together with other speakers on a variety of topics related to contributions of women to the Military, their Country and Community.

The day features an opening ceremony and inspiring guest speakers, alongside guided tours of our exhibits and interactive activities for children.
