HMCS Tecumseh

HMCS Tecumseh is a Calgary-based unit of the Canadian Naval Reserve. Tecumseh is a fully modern training facility that also houses the 746 Communication Squadron. Named after the Shawnee chief who served with the British forces during the War of 1812, Tecumseh also served as a recruiting center during the Second World War.

Over 4,500 personnel enlisted at Tecumseh, including Lt. Robert Hampton Gray, the only person in the Canadian Navy to receive the Victoria Cross.

Motto, "In Pace Bellum Para", which is Latin for, "In time of peace, prepare for war".
