Canadian Airborne Regiment

Canadian Airborne Regiment was created in 1968 as a rapid-reaction, light mobile tactical force, suitable for overseas brigade-size missions. It was designed as a flexible immediate response unit for overseas reinforcement or intervention missions within NATO. The unit served in Cyprus and Somalia, and was disbanded in 1995.

Motto, "Ex coelis", which is Latin for "From the Clouds"
