HQ1 - Flamethrowers 1943-45

George Bannerman (1919 - 2012) was born on a farm near Neville, Saskatchewan in 1919. After the Second World War broke out George enlisted as an instructor in firearms training on the Vickers Machine Gun. He then moved to the Chemical and Flame Warfare branch with the 21st Army Group to help develop vehicle mounted flamethrowers.
