Loyal Edmonton Regiment
Italian Campaign, Western Europe 1943-45

Bill Telesky (1919 - 2011) was born in Edmonton and joined the Loyal Edmonton Regiment at the start of the Second World War. He served during the Invasion of Sicily and the Italian campaign and saw action during the Battle of Ortona in 1943 and the Battle of the Liri Valley in 1944. His regiment was sent to Europe in 1944 where he participated in the Liberation of Holland.
