John Osborne

John Osborne (1935 - ) was born in Bebington, England and came over to Canada in 1947. In 1951, at the age of 16, he joined the Army and shortly afterwards began medical training at Camp Gordon. When he finished his training he was attached to the 37 Field Unit, and told he was going to Korea. His unit arrived in Korea in 1952 where he was posted to a casualty clearing station a short distance behind the front lines, and where his medical unit cared for wounded soldiers from the PPCLI and the RCR's.
