Sierra Leone 2011-12

CWO (Retired) Emmett Kelly enrolled in the Canadian Armed Forces in Montreal in 1982. He began his military career with the Black Watch, later transferring to the Calgary Highlanders when he moved west in 1995. He served as the Highlanders’ regimental sergeant major 2008-2012, deploying to Sierra Leone during his final year in this role. He was brigade sergeant major of 41 Canadian Brigade Group 2012-2015 prior to retiring.
