Sgt David Dirom

Sgt (Ret’d) David Dirom was born in Ardrossan, Scotland. He joined the British Army in 1974 (the Scots Guards, then Royal Corps of Transport), releasing in 1982 after serving in Northern Ireland (among other places). After emigrating to Canada, David joined the Calgary Highlanders in 1983 and later served as a medic. He deployed to Cambodia in 1993 and retired from the Canadian Armed Forces in 2009.
