MCpl Bonnie Critchley was born in Kelowna, BC. She originally joined the Primary Reserve as an armoured crewman in 1999, later transferring from the South Alberta Light Horse to the King’s Own Calgary Regiment. She deployed to Afghanistan in 2011 and was promoted to master corporal the following year.
